These documents provide information for use by an IEP team when making decisions regarding alternate assessment participation. These documents outline the four participation criteria that must be met; provide examples of typical educational situations that should be considered; and provide a series of questions and answers that should be considered.

The Quick Start Guide to the Online HSA-Alt Training Test provides a brief list of the steps needed to start an online HSA-Alt training test and navigate through the training test items. This guide is available for use by TAs, parents, and/or students.

These sample score reports show a student’s best performance on the HSA-Alt Assessments in ELA and Mathematics and the HSA-Alt Assessment in Science. The sample reports also show what areas are assessed in each subject, what the student’s proficiency level is in the different subject areas, and provide additional resources and answers to frequently asked questions about the HSA-Alt Assessments.
